Learning a language can open doors for the rest of your life!
Whether your objective is to prepare for university admission, or take advantage of a global marketplace, or just socialize with your neighbours and friends the Continuing Education Language Institute English or French second language courses will help you attain the language proficiency you seek. Our English and French as a second language non-credit programs are dynamic and student-centered, designed to meet the needs of adult learners.
In addition to part time study, the Language Institute offers a year-round Intensive ESL Program. Founded in 1977, this daytime program attracts international students from over 60 countries. The program integrates the four basic skills of reading, writing, listening, speaking, plus grammar and study skills, and utilizes a dynamic video and listening program in each of its 8 levels, beginners to advanced. Intensive ESL students will have access to the Center's computer labs, including the internet, and the University's Counseling and Health Services.
We can help you express yourself with confidence!
